Booster+ for Android

Summary

Booster+ stores your exercise records, settings, and streak data on your device. No account is required to use the app. The app sends basic usage events (tied to a device identifier, not your identity) so we can understand how it is used. If you choose to sign in with Google to sync across devices, your exercise history — including your self-assessment answers — is also stored on our server, linked to your Google account. The app includes Google's AdMob advertising SDK; the current version does not display ads.

Data we collect from all users

The app sends usage events to our server to help us improve the experience:

Each event includes your device's Android ID, an identifier that allows us to count unique devices. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine these events with sync-account data.

Optional: Google sign-in and multi-device sync

Sync is entirely optional — every feature of the app works without it. If you sign in with Google (Settings → Sign in), we collect and store on our server:

Synced data is transmitted over HTTPS and used only to provide the sync feature. Signing out stops all syncing; data already on the server remains until you ask us to delete it (see below).

Deleting your account and synced data

To delete your sync account and all data stored on our server, email info@intercode.ca from the Google account email you signed in with, with the subject "Booster+ account deletion". We will delete your account record and all synced completion and self-assessment data within 30 days and confirm by reply. This does not affect the data stored locally on your device.

Advertising

Booster+ includes the Google AdMob SDK. The current release does not display any ads; however, the SDK initializes when the app starts and may collect device information such as your advertising ID, IP address, and device characteristics, as described in Google's advertising policy. A future version may show a single banner ad on the home screen; this policy will be updated when that happens.

Data we do NOT collect

Data we store on your device

The app stores your exercise completion history, your self-assessment answers, your screening result, your reminder times, and your session preferences (such as your chosen mindfulness session length) using Android's local DataStore. Unless you enable sync, this data never leaves your device except for the usage events described above.

How we use your data

We use the data described above to:

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes. The only third party that may process device data is Google (sign-in and the AdMob SDK), as described above.

Data retention

Usage events are retained on our servers for up to 2 years, after which they are deleted. Synced account data is retained until you request deletion.

Permissions used

The app requests the following permissions:

Uninstall

Uninstalling Booster+ removes all locally stored data from your device. Usage events, and any synced data if you signed in, remain on our server according to the retention policy above; you can request deletion of synced data at any time (see "Deleting your account and synced data").

Children

Booster+ is intended for adult use. It is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL. Material changes will be noted on the homepage and in an in-app notice.
